Dance spectacle in two acts and 19 scenes. Family-friendly performance.
The libretto of this magical dance spectacle was written by Liwia Pawłowska, while the music was composed by Maciej Pawłowski. The story revolves around events taking place in the Land of Day and Night, where the main character, Princess of the Day - the titular Lamaila - is suddenly awakened in the middle of the night by a funny creature living in the depths of the swamp - Mr. Gulgacz. Lamaila, thanks to the full moon... falls in love with the Prince of Night - Namadilu. Just when everyone is certain that this pair will never meet again, events take an unexpected turn.

The music is reminiscent of a Disney style, with plenty of beautiful melodies. A significant portion of the musical material was orchestrated by the master of the genre himself, the most famous composer of ballet music in Poland - Bogdan Pawłowski, whose "Snow White" has been triumphing on the stage of the Grand Theatre in Łódź for 40 years. And everything indicates that LAMAILA may dethrone the "queen" in terms of popularity.

One of the stars in the Cassiopeia constellation with the designation RRA 01h33m21.79 +60°40'12.2'' dec 10.61 mag Cas has been named LAMAILA. "It is a fairly typical star in the M103 open cluster, with which it is located at a distance of approximately 7,000 light-years from Earth. It is a main sequence star with a spectral type of B3V, therefore with a temperature of several tens of thousands of degrees. This spectral type was established in 1965. Lamaila is a relatively young star, with an age not exceeding thirty million years," say specialists from the EC-1 Planetarium.

Before each performance, an astronomer will introduce the audience to the secrets of planetary conjunction - an astronomical event that has a significant impact on the subsequent events in the spectacle. The popular science introduction to astronomy has been prepared by employees of the EC-1 Planetarium.
