SUPERNOVA PREMIERE
The emotions are still running high after the premiere of SUPERNOVA, which opened the 28th Łódź Ballet Festival!
The performances Echoes (choreography by Jacek Przybyłowicz) and Bedroom Folk (choreography by Sharon Eyal and Gai Behar), presented by the Ballet Łódź company, captivated the audience with their intensity, precision, and extraordinary stage energy that will remain in the viewers’ memory for a long time.
During the intermission, the opening of the exhibition Bella Figura by Małgorzata Chodakowska took place — the artist’s unique sculptures can be viewed in our foyer until May 10.
After the performance, the audience had the opportunity to meet the company and learn more about the creative process behind the premiere. The evening culminated in a ceremonial presentation of a statuette by Deputy Artistic Director Rafał Janiak to Acting Ballet Director Gintautas Potockas. The event concluded with a reception, offering space for further conversations and celebration of a shared success.
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all artists, creators, and everyone involved in the production of this exceptional evening. Your work, passion, and dedication have resulted in an event of the highest artistic standard. The production has been made possible thanks to the months-long commitment of the Impresario Department, led by Krystyna Filip, as well as the Director of the Theatre, Prof. Marcin Nałęcz-Niesiołowski, who ensured the biennale was realized at the highest artistic and organizational level.
We invite you to upcoming events within the festival!
