DELFINA AMBROZIAK IN MEMORIAM

She was the brightest Star of the Łódź Opera and the Grand Theatre in Łódź, an undisputed Mistress of the operatic stage. Over the course of several decades, she created an entire collection of soprano heroines of the opera. Each of them, in the interpretation of the Miatress, met with great success with the adoring audience, dazzled music critics and great composers led by Maestro Penderecki and Wojciech Kilar, and provided competition with a reason to intensify work on every opera or operetta role being prepared.

 

Today, we no longer have Maestra Delfina Ambroziak with us, but the memory of her and the love of the audience will remain forever. We encourage you to participate in the special concert Delfina Ambroziak in memoriam, in which outstanding sopranos of our Theatre, as well as students of the Maestra, will tackle opera arias that were the domain of Madame Professor and her signature vocal parts.

 

It will be a special tribute to the Maestra by the artists who had the opportunity and pleasure to share the stage with the Artist, learn from her, and follow the example of the right approach to the stage and the Audience. And in the repertoire of Delfina Ambroziak, we will be presented with: Joanna Woś, Dorota Wójcik, Monika Cichocka, Joanna Moskowicz, Anna Cymmerman, and... Sylwester Kostecki. The orchestra will be conducted by Tadeusz Kozłowski and Rafał Janiak.

 

We have no doubt that it will be an unforgettable evening, especially since no one would bring us closer to the figure of Delfina Ambroziak better than her friend Sławomir Pietras.
