GLIMMERS AND SHADOWS OF LOVE – a musical tale on the Chamber Stage

 

This concert – intimate and full of a specific atmosphere – will surely not only surprise you with its unique ambiance but also bring pleasant moments spent with music from various epochs, as each of them could not exist without lyrical vocalism, romantic fervor, and emotional fluctuations. Composers often delved into the intricacies of feelings, using their musical talent to allow listeners to participate in what is, after all, everyday life, but so diverse.

 

During the performance, we will hear music by Johannes Brahms, Jacques Ibert, Stefano Donaudy, Renato Brogi, Gioacchino Rossini, Cole Porter, Sigmund Romberg, Richard Rodgers, and Sammy Fain. The artists performing include Daniel Mirosław (baritone) and Katarzyna Sajdak-Widera (piano). Daniel Mirosław is a graduate of the Juilliard School in New York, the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, and the Academy of Music in Łódź. The artist has performed numerous leading roles in operas by Mozart, Bizet, Rossini, Donizetti, Rimsky-Korsakov, Giordano, Puccini, and Verdi on Polish and international opera stages. Katarzyna Sajdak-Widera, on the other hand, is a well-known pianist in Łódź (and beyond!), whose artistic personality not only musically accompanies the soloist but also becomes an equal character in a specific stage form. She is a graduate of the Academy of Music in Łódź, completed masterclasses in the class of Prof. A. Jasiński and Prof. R. Bakst, and also participated in courses organized by Jeunesses Musicales. The pianist worked as a répétiteur for soloists at the Grand Theatre in Łódź and the Opera in Bydgoszcz. She has participated as a pianist in many vocal competitions: Belvedere in Vienna, Queen Elisabeth in Brussels, Jan Kiepura Competition in Krynica, and vocal competitions in Warsaw and Nowy Sącz. She is a lecturer at the Grażyna and Kiejstut Bacewicz Academy of Music in Łódź, records for Polish Radio, and performs concerts in Austria, the Netherlands, Belgium, South Korea, and Lithuania. She collaborates with the Grand and Music Theatres in Łódź.
