Opera bez granic – educational project created to meet the needs of individual audience members, habitants of Lodz and Lodz region, aged 13 and older. The aim of the project is to stimulate the interest and improve the knowledge of the opera and ballet – present its characteristic features, increasing the basic knowledge of the matter, educating conscious spectators who are aware of culture and understand the functioning of the modern opera house. Each meeting will focus on different topic, like directing opera performances, role of the ballet company in the opera house or technical capabilities of the Lodz Grand Theatre’s stage. During each meeting a mini quiz with prizes will be organized for the participants.

Meetings will take place once a month, from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m.

Thanks to various electronically controlled technical devices we went on a fast journey through time and space. We marvelled at dawn in the forest, went to the seaside and from there we travelled with gale straight to the mountains. After that we saw colourful Christmas tree, snow and glossy soap bubbles which shined like rainbow.

During the presentation the spectators found out what is a flying bar, lighting bridge or saw how the wind machine look like, among other things. Some of the participants left the Lodz Grand Theatre very saddened that the spectacular show ended so soon, yet full of hope that Magical Power of Stage will in the future show once more what it’s capable of.
